Keyboard shortcuts

Keyboard shortcuts help you quickly write pages in the editor, search your published documentation, and ask questions using the AI chat.

In the page editor#

Shortcut	Action
Cmd+S or Ctrl+S	Save the page now. Autosave also runs 800 ms after you stop typing.
Cmd+. or Ctrl+.	Toggle the page details inspector.
/ at the start of a line	Open the block menu.
Up and Down in the block menu	Move the selection.
Enter in the block menu	Insert the selected block.
Select text	Open the formatting toolbar for bold, italic, code and link.
Enter in the link input	Apply the link.
Esc in the link input	Cancel and close the link input.

On a published docs site#

Shortcut	Action
Cmd+K or Ctrl+K	Open search.
/	Open search when you are not typing in a field.
Up and Down	Move through results.
Enter	Open the selected page.
Esc	Close search.

Enter	Send your question when typing in the query field.
Shift+Enter	Add a new line in the query field.
